Our Heritage
Nestled in the heart of North Texas, Texas Manufacturing Company (TMC) opened its’ doors in the late 1950s. Originating in the quaint town of Whitesboro, we were fueled by a deep-rooted commitment to family values and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Our initial focus on crafting high-quality propane storage tanks and livestock trailers set the stage for what would become a legacy of enduring success.
As the years unfolded, our dedication to innovation and quality propelled us forward. By the mid-1960s, we had expanded our expertise to include ASME Section VIII Division 1 pressure vessels, earning a distinguished reputation in the petrochemical industry. The spirit of innovation continued in 1986 when we ventured into fire protection fabrication and fabricated fittings, responding adeptly to the shifting sands of market demands.
The year 1991 marked a pivotal moment as our expansion into fire protection fabrication took center stage, showcasing our adaptability and dedication to meeting and exceeding market needs. Our strategic growth continued with the inauguration of our Houston plant in 2002, further enhancing our ability to serve South Texas and Louisiana with reduced lead times, and cementing our position as a key player in fire sprinkler fabrication.
At the core of TMC lies the timeless essence of family. From the Taylor family's foundational leadership in the late 1950s to the pivotal role played by the Streetman brothers over four decades, to the current ownership of the Hesse family, our history is a tapestry of family-driven leadership and values. Even as we turned the page to a new chapter in 2022, the legacy of family remains a guiding light in our journey.
Today and Beyond
The booming Texas economy and our unyielding drive for operational excellence led us to centralize our sprinkler fabrication operations in Houston in 2022. This strategic move, coupled with significant investments in cutting-edge technology and facility enhancements, reaffirms our commitment to setting new benchmarks in quality, efficiency, and innovation. Under the stewardship of Glen Miller, our General Manager with over 40 years of industry experience, our team is dedicated to achieving excellence in every facet of our operations.
